Consultations at BioPlus are complimentary for most treatments. If you are booking with Dr. Zhou for esthetic dermatology, his consultations are billed separately and are not currently covered by MSP.

Plan for 30 to 45 minutes. This gives our skin specialist team time to properly assess your skin, discuss your goals, walk through treatment options, and answer any questions you have.

Arrive with clean skin (no heavy makeup if possible) and bring a list of any prescription medications you are currently taking, including over-the-counter retinoids or skincare actives. If you have had previous aesthetic treatments, knowing the dates and products used is helpful.

Yes, you are welcome to bring a partner, friend, or family member for support during your consultation. Many of our patients appreciate having a second set of ears when reviewing treatment options.

You will leave with a summary of your recommended treatment plan, including pricing. You can book your first treatment that same day, schedule it for later, or take time to think about it. There is no obligation.

Both locations are staffed by the same medical team and offer the same standard of care. Choose whichever is more convenient for you. If you are booking with a specific physician, note that Dr. Sam Zong sees patients in Richmond, and Dr. Sanaz Gharedaghi sees patients in Burnaby. Dr. Cindy Huang and Dr. Youwen Zhou see patients at both locations.
