PRF HAIR RESTORATION
The next generation of platelet hair therapy.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin uses 100% your own blood, processed slower and without additives, to release growth factors over weeks rather than hours. A more advanced approach to non-surgical hair restoration than traditional PRP.

An upgrade on a proven foundation.
Both PRP and PRF use your own blood. The difference is in how the blood is processed, what's preserved, and how the growth factors are released into the scalp.
PRP
Platelet-Rich Plasma · Established
- Blood spun at higher speed
- Anticoagulants added during processing
- High platelet concentration in plasma
- Growth factors released rapidly (hours to days)
- Well-established clinical evidence
- Liquid form
PRF
Platelet-Rich Fibrin · Advanced
- Blood spun at slower speed to preserve more cells
- Zero additives — 100% natural
- Includes platelets, fibrin matrix, white blood cells, stem cells
- Fibrin scaffold releases growth factors over weeks
- More regenerative cells available
- May require fewer maintenance sessions
HOW IT WORKS
A simple four-step process.
01
Consultation
We assess your scalp health, hair loss pattern, and medical history to determine if PRF is right for you.
02
Blood draw
A small sample of your blood is drawn at the clinic, just as it would be at any routine appointment.
03
Slow centrifugation
Your blood is spun at a slower speed than PRP, preserving more cells and forming a natural fibrin matrix without additives.
04
Targeted injection
The PRF is injected into thinning areas of your scalp, where the fibrin scaffold releases growth factors over the following weeks.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your treatment plan, your results.
Most patients begin with a series of three to four monthly sessions, followed by maintenance treatments based on individual response. Visible improvement in hair density and thickness typically appears between three and six months. PRF is most effective for early-stage androgenetic alopecia and pattern hair loss, and works best when paired with a comprehensive scalp health plan from our medical team.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
PRF hair restoration questions.
What's the difference between PRP and PRF for hair restoration?
Both treatments use your own blood, but PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is the newer, more advanced protocol. PRF spins blood at a slower speed to preserve more regenerative cells, uses no anticoagulants or additives, and forms a fibrin scaffold that releases growth factors gradually over weeks. PRP releases growth factors rapidly over hours to days. PRF is increasingly considered the next generation of platelet therapy for hair restoration.
Does PRF hair restoration hurt?
Most patients describe the discomfort as mild and brief. We use a topical numbing solution prior to injection, and the fine-gauge needles used minimize sensation. Any tenderness in the treated area typically resolves within a few hours.
How many PRF sessions will I need?
Most patients begin with a series of three to four monthly sessions to establish results, followed by maintenance treatments every four to six months based on individual response. Your medical team will customize a plan after your consultation.
When will I see results?
Visible improvement in hair density and thickness typically appears between three and six months after the initial treatment series. Because PRF releases growth factors gradually, the response is sustained over time rather than peaking quickly and fading.
Is PRF safe? Are there side effects?
PRF uses 100% your own blood with no additives, making it one of the safest non-surgical hair restoration options available. Common side effects are limited to mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites, which resolve within hours. Because the material is autologous (from your own body), allergic reactions are not a concern.
Who is a good candidate for PRF hair restoration?
PRF is most effective for early-to-moderate stage androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern hair loss), thinning hair, and improving overall scalp and follicle health. It is not typically recommended for late-stage or complete hair loss. A consultation with our medical team is the best way to determine if PRF is right for your specific situation.
